Rev. Dr. Jonathan Jeffries
Pastor Jonathan was appointed to First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg in June 2013. Jonathan grew up in eastern North Carolina in the Raleigh area and his father was a United Methodist pastor. Jonathan is married to Heather and they have two wonderful children, David and Sarah Catherine. He has been a pastor in the United Methodist Church since 1998. Jonathan graduated from North Carolina State University with degrees in Communication and Zoology, and has obtained Masters of Divinity and Theology degrees from The Divinity School at Duke University and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University.

Terry has been the Administrative Assistant at FUMC since 2008 and considers it a true blessing. She was born and raised in Laurinburg. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, gardening, camping, relaxing at the beach and spending time with her husband Bobby, son Joe Lee, granddaughter Riley and Boxer Maxxx.
*Fun Fact* Once she and her husband drove a car in the parade lap at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Tish has 32 years of experience as a Bookkeeper with the Scotland County School District, as well as 7 years of volunteering with the Finance Dept. at FUMC. She has been a member of FUMC since 2001, transferring her membership from Laurel Hill United Methodist Church. Tish volunteers with Scotland Memorial Hospital & the John Blue Cotton Festival. She has 3 children & 7 grandchildren and is currently expecting her first great-grandchild.
*Fun Fact* Tish’s parent’s owned an ice cream shop called “Tish’s Dish”, explaining her great love for ice cream!

Jim was born in Pittsburgh PA, (Steelers’ territory) the youngest of 8 children. He has worked as a Chef and now is the Facility Supervisor at FUMC. Jim is married and has 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. His pets include 2 dogs, a fish and a dwarf bunny named Stuart.

Beth Dunbar has worked with the Polly Gibson group since 2005 and loves working with the seniors at FUMC. She was born and raised in Wilmington, NC and graduated from the Univ. of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in marketing. Beth has been a member of FUMC since 1990. She is married to Wade and has 2 grown children.
*Fun Fact* Beth’s favorite way to de-stress is riding down the Intra-costal waterway in her boat.

Ed Williams graduated from Pfeifer University with a degree in Music Education and holds a Master Degree in Music Education from VA Commonwealth University. He is a member of the North Carolina Music Educators Association. Ed retired as an Administrator for Scotland Co. Schools and now is directing the St. Andrews University Choir as well as teaching voice and music courses. He grew up in Charlotte NC. Ed is married to Debby, has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

Mary Louise Baker
Mary Louise Baker holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance and a Minor in Piano Performance from Salem College. She earned a Masters of Music Degree in Organ Performance & Literature from the University of Notre Dame. She earned her Kindermusik Certification and has many years of experience directing children’s choirs. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

Stephanie Weir Andrews grew up at First United Methodist Church and has been leading worship for 15 years for youth groups, churches and retreats. She attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and majored in Bible with a music emphasis. She and her husband, Jonathan, moved back to Laurinburg in March of 2013 as they felt God’s leading to come back and serve in the areas of Laurinburg and Maxton.

Rhonda has over 25 years of experience in Lay Leadership positions with Children, Youth, Women, Outreach and College & Career Ministries in the Kansas City area. Her formal training was at the Art Institute of Atlanta but she has a passion to disciple others for Christ so Photography is now her greatest hobby. She is married to Terry and has 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
*Fun Fact* On her first birthday she received a new baby brother so she has shared her birthday ever since she can remember.

Jonathan Andrews has served as a sound engineer in various ministry settings for the past 5 years. Jonathan grew up in Colorado Springs, CO as a PK, moved to Boone, NC as a teenager, graduated from Greenville Tech with a degree in carpentry, married his wife Stephanie and they have been serving together for the past 6 years.
